After 9 years of separation emotional reunion of Samra

This heart-wrenching story is about an innocent girl, Samra, who cannot speak and was found abandoned in 2017,  nine years ago,  in the area of Iqbal Park, Lahore. Alone, unable to explain who she was or where she belonged, Samra had no way to return home. Efforts were made at that time to trace her family, but no success was achieved. Her parents lived with this pain for years, and sadly, both passed away carrying the sorrow of their daughter’s separation in their hearts. Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un.

Samra remained in protective care, growing up away from her loved ones. But Almighty Allah had written a reunion in her destiny.

The turning point came through the efforts of the Mera Pyara - Virtual Center for Child Safety team which is working under Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA). The team conducted a detailed interview with Samra and sought help from sign language experts to understand her better. The field team even took her to different locations including Iqbal Town, Karim Block, and Chowk Yateem Khana, hoping she might recognize a place or memory. Despite all these efforts, no clear lead was found.

After these attempts, Samra’s interview video was shared on the official Mera Pyara social media platforms.

By the special grace of Allah, the video reached her real brother. He recognized his sister immediately. In moments, years of separation turned into hope. He contacted the Mera Pyara team without delay.

He shared that years ago, Samra had stepped out to a nearby shop and never returned. The family searched everywhere, but there was no trace. During this painful wait, both parents passed away, leaving this world with the grief of their missing daughter.

And today, by Allah’s mercy, Samra meets her family again.

The reunion is deeply emotional. Tears flow. Hearts tremble. When Samra is embraced by her loved ones, it is not just a meeting, it is the end of years of pain, prayers, and waiting. This moment reflects patience, faith, and Allah’s mercy in the most beautiful way.

This success story shows the true mission of Mera Pyara protecting vulnerable children, responding to child safety concerns, and reuniting families, no matter how many years have passed.
