Alhamdulillah, after seven long years of separation, a special child has finally been reunited with his mother. A deeply emotional moment that reflects hope, patience, and the dedicated efforts of Mera Pyara - Virtual Center for Child safety, working under the vision of Punjab Safe Cities Authority.
The child went missing in 2019 from Gujranwala. He was later found in a vulnerable condition but was unable to share his name, address, or any details about his family due to his special condition. As a result, he was shifted to Edhi Home Gujranwala and later transferred to Edhi Home Multan, where he remained under care and protection.
During these years, the child lived away from his loved ones, while his family continued to search for him with hope and uncertainty.
When the case came under the attention of the Punjab Safe Cities Authority, the Mera Pyara team initiated dedicated efforts to trace his family. As part of its mission, the team collected his details, recorded his video, and shared it on Mera Pyara’s official social media platforms to maximize outreach.
This effort led to a breakthrough.
By the grace of Allah, the child’s father came across the video on Mera Pyara’s Facebook page and immediately recognized him as his son, Ahmad, who had been missing for the past seven years.
Following this crucial identification, the Mera Pyara team initiated a thorough verification process. The family provided necessary documents and information, which were carefully reviewed. After completing all legal and verification procedures, the child was safely reunited with his family.
The reunion between the mother and child was deeply emotional، a moment filled with tears, relief, and overwhelming love, marking the end of years of separation.
Such impactful success stories highlight the effectiveness of Mera Pyara’s mission. Due to its continuous efforts, the initiative has been recognized globally and selected among the Top 20 E-Government projects at the WSIS Forum 2026. This recognition reflects its growing international impact.
Mera Pyara remains committed to ensuring that every missing child is safely reunited with their family.
